The High Desert Methodist Food Pantry (HDMFP) is funded by members of High Desert United Methodist Church and other individuals concerned with addressing food insecurity in our community. All workers volunteer their time and are appropriately trained or certified by Roadrunner Food Bank.
Eligible clients may receive food twice monthly. It provides supplemental canned, fresh, or frozen food items as available from Roadrunner Food Bank or donations from the HDUMC congregation and other community partners. Eligibility is based upon residency and income guidelines provided by the U.S. Department of Agriculture; our service area is Sandoval County New Mexico and zip code 87114 in Bernalillo County New Mexico. Individuals may apply on distribution dates and must reapply annually in July. Distribution occurs on the first Friday (11am-2pm), the third Tuesday (9am-noon) and the third Thursday (1-4pm) of each month.
The High Desert Methodist Food Pantry is an active ministry of our church and operates under the guidelines prescribed by; Roadrunner Food Bank, the United States Department of Agriculture, Federal Civil Rights regulations & policies and is an equal opportunity provider.
